We have to plan the dates of opening of The Arlington Bluebell in the winter, so never have any idea whether it will be an early or late spring! All we know is that the carpets of the white wood anemones (anemone nemorosa) precede the mass of the scented English bluebells (hyacinthoides non-scripta).
Some years we have tried to bring the opening forward by a week or extend the closing date which is printed on this leaflet, so always check www.bluebellwalk.co.uk as the dates of the charities listed on our leaflet may change. Once we open we update a box on the Home Page every Friday morning to record how the bluebells look in Beatons Wood.
Since 1972 we have raised over £800,000 (present day values, June 2015) for the 67 charities that have been involved over the years.
