Welcome to Old Holly Farm, a family run, working dairy farm, who are passionate about giving children (and adults alike) the opportunity to see, touch, smell, hear and taste the experience of a real working farm. But most importantly it's about having fun, eating well and learning through play safely.
The open farm boasts FREE entry (except in December where there is a small entrance fee, when the Reindeers come to stay) and FREE parking, making it a great value day out. With an indoor playbarn, traditional courtyard cafe, farm shop, animals and events running throughout the year, there's plenty going on. Plus the farm is open every day from 9am - 5pm, all year round (closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day only). Easy to find, the farm is located on the A6 near Garstang, just 5mins south of junction 33 of the M6 at Lancaster.
The Playbarn is a great place for the kids to burn off energy, whilst adults can sit back and relax in the cafe - with views into the play system. The traditional Courtyard Cafe and Playbarn Cafe both serve fresh, homemade food every day, in a family friendly environment, with highchairs, baby change, bottle warming and a fab kids menu.
The Farm Shop is full of local treats, sweets and gifts, with a variety of jams and preserves, biscuits and toys. The farm serve's Coolcow Ice cream which is homemade on the farm, using the Old Holly cows milk - with 22 flavours available, it's tough to pick a favourite.
The inner courtyard and animal paddocks are home to a variety of farm animals, with donkeys, goats, pigs, rabbits, chicks, sheep and calves. Plus you can watch the farms cows being milked everyday at 4.30pm in the diary viewing gallery. Please remember Old Holly farm is a working farm, so it's important to wash your hands and use all the facilities and information to help keep you safe.
