Let Snowdon Mountain Railway take you on a journey of a lifetime to the rooftop of Wales. At 3,560ft, Mount Snowdon dominates the landscape of Snowdonia National Park in North Wales. With stunning scenery and awe-inspiring views it's all part of a great day out for you and your family in North Wales.
A truly majestic place of legend and mystery , it is said to be the burial place of the giant ogre Rhita, vanquished by King Arthur. Some believe that Arthur’s Knights still sleep beneath!
From the moment you leave the station your train will begin the journey upwards to the clouds, a journey experienced by some 12 million intrepid travellers since 1896. From the first glimpse of the waterfall in Llanberis to the point at which your train crests the mountain 60 minutes later you will have been surrounded by the views and the experience that is Eryri , the land of the Eagles.
When weather permits, our trains travel all the way to the summit visitor centre- Hafod Eryri. Here, you can enjoy the views, relax in the cafe , buy a special souvenir in the summit gift shop and even post a letter from the highest post box in Englant and Wales!
On return, reward yourself with a refreshment in the Platform Grill or Llanberis Café. And be sure to visit the fabulous gift shop, stocking a bounty of local Welsh produce.
